What you need to know...

Osaka is the world's largest city. There is SO MUCH to do here. But unlike many major cities, its surprisingly difficult to experience that random, crazy night on the town, especially if you don't know when or where to go. That's why we started the pub crawl.

The Osaka Pub Crawl is basically a "bar tour" or "bar-hopping." We will organize a group of people; some friends, some complete strangers, and visit various bars and/or clubs over the course of an evening in Osaka. In a nutshell, the Osaka Pub Crawl is a great way to experience some fun venues that the city's nightlife has to offer, and meet people along the way. Annnnnd its pretty cheap. Annnnnd you'll get pretty drunk, if that's your thing.

1. WHEN is the Osaka Pub Crawl?
Right now we have events on Saturdays, a few times a month, but we hope to do them every weekend in the near future. Check the schedule here.

2. WHAT do I get?
Each member of the pub crawl will receive:

 • Free welcome shots at each bar/club
 • Discounted drinks at all bars (usually around 50% off)
 • NO EXTRA cover charges, for any bars or clubs
 • Access to a club at the end of the night
 • Games and contests throughout the night

3. HOW MUCH is it?
¥2300 for men, ¥1800 for women (including ¥500 discount). But you can get a 20% discount if you buy your tickets online.

4. Is it a good deal?
Yes. At least people seem to think so. Osaka is an expensive city and we want to provide a full experience and make sure everyone has an awesome night. Hard to enjoy when you're blowing through wads of cash. So we try to keep the costs low.

Pub crawl drink discounts range from 40 - 50% off each drink. So you'll save a lot there.

Plus each person gets 3 - 4 welcome shots for free, and we give out a LOT of liquor between bars.

Also, the club will cost anywhere from ¥1000 - ¥5000 for regular entry. Sometimes the bars charge also.

AND FINALLY if you really don't have a good time, just ask us and we're happy to refund your money. Like I said, we do it for fun.

5. Why do girls pay less?
If I had things my way, both men and women would pay the same price. But the fact is in Osaka, many bars and clubs have established a system of offering discounts to women. It's a little old fashioned, but we want to make sure we are offering women the same kind of value as they would receive elsewhere.

6. Do you offer discounts?
Yep! We offer several kinds of discounts:

 • Advance ticket purchase (buy online and save!)
 • FREE ENTRY if you celebrate your birthday with friends
 • All women receive ¥500 off entry
 • ¥500 off if you come back Saturday with your Friday wristband
 • Group discounts (please ask)

7. How do I join?
We HIGHLY recommending signing up for the event in advance. Just click on the appropriate event page and follow the instructions.

That being said, all you have to do is show up at the meeting spot and we will take care of you, whether you have a reservation or not. However, often we do have to cut off the entry, so best to sign up in advance.

8. What is the drinking age in Osaka?
You must be 20 years old to consume alcohol in Osaka.

9. Should I bring a photo I.D.?
Probably. A lot of bars in Osaka don't check ID, but a lot of clubs do. So it depends where we go.

10. What time do you start?
Friday night we start at 7:30pm, and Saturday night we start at 6:30pm. If at all possible, don't be late. If you are late, we won't feel bad about drinking your welcome shots for you.

11. Where do you meet?
The meeting location changes each time, but is almost always inside of a bar. Check the meeting location for the next pub crawl here.

12. How long do you stay at each bar/club?
We stay for About 45 - 90 mins at each location.

13. A lot of my friends want to come on this crawl. Can we all come?
Everyone is welcome. The more, the merrier! Please sign-up in advance if you can.

14. Will there be drink specials at each bar and club?
Yes. In addition to the free shot at each bar, you will receive exclusive drink specials. In most cases, the drinks are up to 50% off regular price.

15. Will I know what the next bar/club on the route will be?
We change the bars each time. Also, the route is a secret. This prevents annoying people from following us around if they're not part of the pub crawl. In Japan, we call them "goldfish poop".

16. Can l stay at a particular bars or clubs and continue on the route?
Yes of course! If you are having so much fun and you plan on staying at a certain location, please ensure that you inform an Osaka Pub Crawl crew member, or they will continue to yell at you and wonder why you're not listening.

17. How will the security staff know l am part of the crawl?
Special wristbands will be distributed to all pub crawlers, and Osaka Pub Crawl crew members will also will be aware of all attendees.

18. How long can I stay at the last club?
You can stay all night. Generally, closing time is around 2:00am for most bars and clubs. However, after 2:00am, there are plenty of after-hour bars to choose from. They're not hard to find. Ask a pub crawl staff for suggestions.

However, if you wish to catch the train home, please be aware train service to most areas end at around 11.45pm-12.00am. Again, ask us for help if you think you might miss it.

19. What club will we end up at?
Clubs will vary from tour to tour but the meeting point and the last stop are almost always in the same locale.

20. I cannot make the starting time. Is that ok?
Yes, of course. Actually, we usually stay at the first bar for at least an hour. So you can find us there. If you've missed us, the bar staff probably knows where we will be.

Also, we post the location of the next bar on Facebook page and MeetUp, so check there

Finally, if you know you are going to be late, let us know and we will fill you in.

Please NOTE: By arriving late you may miss out on some free shots and/or give-aways.
